This website is owned by Middle Child Theatre Limited, also known as Middle Child. You are free to use our website for your own personal, non-commercial educational use, but please do not use Middle Child’s website for your own commercial reasons.

By accessing our website, you agree not to copy, reproduce, republish, download, post, broadcast or transmit our materials in any way except for your own personal, non-commercial home use. Sometimes we do make material available for wider use and such an exemption will always be stated clearly on our web pages. You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes, and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of this site by any third party. You are also not permitted to alter the Middle Child website in any way or post onto or transmit to our website, any material containing software viruses or files which may damage or disrupt the good working order of computer or telecommunications equipment. We reserve the right to remove anything that transmitted to this website, which we believe does not follow these terms and conditions.

Our website also contains links to other websites operated by third parties, such as venues that we tour to, media organisations that have reported on our work and other theatre companies with whom we work. We do not endorse or sponsor and are not liable for the products, services or content you access through any linked site.

Donation Payment Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions govern the relationship between you (the donor) and us (Middle Child Theatre, company number 09921306, registered charity number 1188756 “Middle Child”, “us”, “we”)).  

These Terms and Conditions apply separately to each single donation that you make. Except as provided for below in ‘Supporters Scheme Terms & Conditions’ and unless specified by you, they do not form a contract allowing for future or successive transactions to be set up. By confirming on the Website that you wish to make a donation you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions for that donation.

  1. Donations

You, as a donor agree to make a one-off donation of an amount specified by you. We will use these donations at our discretion but always within our stated charitable objectives and in accordance with our Fundraising Promise with the Fundraising Regulator.

All donations via the Supporters’ Scheme shall be processed via our payment services provider Paypal.

  1. Gift Aid

When you donate to us through our Website and confirm that you are a UK taxpayer in accordance with the requirements of the Gift Aid scheme as they apply from time to time, we can reclaim Gift Aid. It is your responsibility to ascertain whether you qualify for Gift Aid entitlement. If you have any doubts about your entitlement for Gift Aid we recommend you consult your own advisors or HMRC about any accounting, taxation or financial consequences of making a donation that may affect you.   1.  Unauthorised card use

If you become aware of fraudulent use of your card, or if it is lost or stolen, you must notify your card provider.

  1. Your data and privacy

When you submit your payment details, these details will be transferred to our payment provider, Paypal, and your payment data will be collected and processed securely by them. You should make sure that you are aware of Paypal’s terms and conditions, which are different from our own, to ensure that you are comfortable with how they will process your personal data before you make a donation. 

We won’t share your personal details with any other third party other than is set out in our Privacy Policy. Our Privacy Policy forms part of these Donation Payment Terms and Conditions and by agreeing to these Terms and Conditions you are also agreeing to the way we use and protect your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy.

  1. Refunds

In common with all registered charities, Middle Child Theatre are constrained by charity law, which means that we are only able to refund a donation in certain prescribed circumstances. 

If you believe that a donation you have made should be refunded, please contact us within 14 days

  1. Regulation

Middle Child Theatre is registered with the Fundraising Regulator and acts at all times in accordance with the Code of Fundraising Practice. For further information on the Fundraising Regulator, please visit their website.

  1. General

This contract is between you and us. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms. All personal information that you provide to us from time to time will be collected, managed and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. For further details please visit our Privacy Policy page.

If we do not insist immediately that you do anything you are required to do under these terms, or if we delay in taking steps against you in respect of your breaking this contract, that will not mean that you do not have to do those things and it will not prevent us taking steps against you at a later date.

We have the right to amend these Donation Payment Terms & Conditions at any time.

These terms are governed by English law and you can only bring legal proceedings in respect of the products in the English courts.

Supporters Scheme Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions govern the relationship between you (the donor) and us (Middle Child Theatre, company number 09921306, registered charity number 1188756 “Middle Child”, “us”, “we”)) in relation to your participation in our supporters’ scheme for ongoing donors (the “Supporters’ Scheme).

By confirming on the website, via payment via PayPal, that you wish to sign up for the Supporters’ Scheme you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (as amended from time to time) until such time as you cease your participation in the Supporters’ Scheme.

  1. Donations

You, as a participant in the Supporters’ Scheme, agree to make monthly donations to us. We will use these donations at our discretion but always within our stated charitable objectives and in accordance with our Fundraising Promise with the Fundraising Regulator.

All donations via the Supporters’ Scheme shall be paid via Direct Debit, which will be processed via our payment services provider Paypal. By confirming that you wish to participate in the Supporters’ Scheme you authorise Paypal (or such other payment services provider as we may use from time to time) to request funds from your bank account (the details of which you will provide at the time of requesting to join the Supporters’ Scheme) via Direct Debit each month

  1. The Benefits

In return for your ongoing monthly donation, you will receive the following benefits 

  1. Exclusive bi-monthly supporter newsletter
  2. A shout-out on our website and social media;
  3. A Middle Child tote bag
  4. A Middle Child enamel pin badge

These benefits are subject to you supplying all your details as necessary in the sign up process. They are distributed in good faith of an ongoing monthly commitment. Shipping of physical benefits will happen as soon as possible after the first donation has been received.

  1. Cancellation

If you wish to cancel your membership of the Supporters’ Scheme please contact your Bank and/or Paypal to cancel future direct debit instructions to us. Please also let us know that you are / or wish to cancel by email or telephone.

We will endeavour to cancel your membership as soon as reasonably possible but if the cancellation is requested shortly before an upcoming Direct Debit payment date, it may not be actioned by your Bank until after that payment has been taken. In such circumstances, your cancellation will take effect from the next Direct Debit payment date.

You will, at all times, have the right to opt-out of receiving newsletters, updates and other correspondence sent to you as part of your Supporters’ Scheme participation. For further information regarding this please see our privacy policy
