How long is it?

The evening is a mix of songs and scenes from past shows, a raffle and speeches, with breaks, from 7.30pm until 10.30pm, when the Make Noise DJ Collective will take to the decks and we all have a boogie.

Who is it suitable for?

This event is for people 18 years old and above. Contains strong language, drug references, depictions of sex, violence, racism, grief, anxiety and Covid-19.

When do doors open?

Doors open at 7pm, with the Make Noise Collective DJs on the decks. The first songs from the shows start at 7.30pm.

Where is the venue?

Social is approximately halfway down Humber Street in Hull’s Fruit Market, next to Humber Street Gallery.

Where can I park my car?

The Fruit Market multi-storey car park is the nearest car park, accessed from Blackfriargate. The postcode for your satnav is HU1 1AW. There is also some free, but very limited on-street parking in the Fruit Market area.

Do we have specific seats?

No, there is a mixture of unreserved cabaret-style seating and standing.

Does the venue have wheelchair access?

Yes. If you have any specific needs please contact us ahead of your visit.

Please contact us in advance if you require a wheelchair space.

Can I reserve seats for the BSL performances so I can see the interpreter?

Yes. Please contact us in advance if you require such a seat.

Do you have free carer tickets?

Yes. We have a limited number of free, no-questions-asked, additional tickets for audience members who require an essential companion. To claim the ticket, please add both a disabled and standard ticket to your basket, then apply the essential companion discount code on the Event Summary ‘Basket’ page. This will then convert the standard ticket to a free one.

Are there non-alcoholic refreshments?

Yes. Social will be selling soft drinks, sweets and ice cream, plus pizza by Costanza’s. Social accepts both cash and card and Costanza’s is card only.

Is there a bar?

Yes. Social stock a variety of beers, wines and spirits.

Is this a relaxed performance?

Yes, in so far as noise and movement are welcome in the audience throughout, however this is not a quiet performance, as it will have loud, amplified music.

Can I buy tickets on the door?

Yes, provided the performance has not sold out in advance. Please check Middle Child social media accounts on the day for updates on sold out shows.

Covid 19: Are you social distancing?

This performance will not be socially distanced.

Covid 19: What measures are you taking?

We will be following all government regulations around Covid-19. You can find the most up to date regulations on the government website. We ask that you do not attend if you are showing symptoms.

Covid 19: What happens if a show is cancelled?

If the event is cancelled ticket buyers will be offered the option of a refund, minus the Eventbrite administration fee.

Covid 19: Do we have to wear masks?

We strongly recommend that you continue to wear face coverings, where possible, particularly when moving around the venue.
